Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The transcription factor ATF-2 (also known as CRE-BP1) binds to both AP-1 and CRE DNA response elements and belongs to the ATF/CREB family of leucine zipper proteins.
ATF-2 interacts with viral oncoproteins and cellular tumor suppressors and is a target of the SAPK/JNK and p38 MAP kinase signaling pathways.
Cellular stress such as genotoxic agents, inflammatory cytokines, and UV irradiation stimulate ATF-2 transcriptional activity through phosphorylation at Thr69 and Thr71. Both SAPK and p38 MAPK phosphorylate ATF-2 at these sites in vitro and in transfected cells.
