Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Improved specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
This gene belongs to the Ras oncogene family, whose members are related to the transforming genes of mammalian sarcoma retroviruses. The encoded proteins function in signal transduction pathways, binding GTP and GDP with intrinsic GTPase activity.
These proteins undergo cycles of de- and re-palmitoylation, regulating exchange between the plasma membrane and Golgi apparatus.
Mutations in this gene cause Costello syndrome, characterized by prenatal overgrowth, postnatal growth deficiency, tumor predisposition, mental retardation, and various abnormalities.
Defects in this gene are implicated in cancers such as bladder cancer, follicular thyroid cancer, and oral squamous cell carcinoma.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
