Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits and screen individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are ligands for the T cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and the inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152). Both are expressed on professional antigen-presenting cells and are essential for T cell activation.
CD80 is rapidly induced on activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cell lines, Burkitt lymphoma cells, follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.
The B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 provides regulatory signals for T lymphocytes via CD28 and CTLA-4 binding.
Diseases associated with CD80 dysfunction include gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
