Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with canine, chicken, human, non-human primate, and Xenopus based on 100% sequence homology.
In Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 100 kDa protein representing the NR1 N1 splice variant from rat brain homogenate. It shows no cross-reactivity with the NR1 C1, C2, or C2 splice variants.
Reconstitute with 50 µL of PBS. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.

Target Information

NMDAR1 encodes a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors, which are members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily. These heteromeric protein complexes form ligand-gated ion channels that play a key role in synaptic plasticity, memory, and learning.
Cell-specific factors regulate the expression of different isoforms, contributing to functional diversity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
