- Predicted to react with bovine, canine, human, and non-human primate based on 100% sequence homology.
- In Western blot, detects an ~100 kDa protein representing the NR1 C1 splice variant from rat brain homogenate.
- No cross-reactivity with NR1 N1, C2, or C2 splice variants.
- Reconstitute with 50 µL of PBS.
Target Information
NMDAR1 encodes a protein that is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily. These are heteromeric protein complexes forming ligand-gated ion channels. The subunits play key roles in synaptic plasticity, underlying memory and learning. Expression of different isoforms is controlled by cell-specific factors, contributing to functional diversity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
