Product Specific Information
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Transthyretin (TTR), commonly known as prealbumin, is a plasma protein involved in the transport of thyroxine and retinol-binding protein. It is primarily produced in the liver and secreted into plasma, representing about 25% of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) protein. TTR is found in neuritic plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, and microangiopathic lesions associated with senile cerebral amyloid. Over 40 mutations in the TTR gene have been linked to amyloid deposition disorders.
