Product Specific Information

The GL3 monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with the gamma delta T-cell receptor (TCR) complex on all gamma delta TCR-bearing T cells, but not with alpha beta TCR. Gamma delta TCRs are found in the thymus, epidermis, intestinal epithelium, peritoneal cavity, and lymphoid tissues.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Blocking Recommendation: Pre-stain with anti-mouse CD16/32 (Product #14-0161-85) to prevent non-specific Fc-mediated binding.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse lymph node cells. Use ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume).

Target Information

TCR gamma/delta (T-cell receptor γ/δ) are specialized T-cells in the immune system that recognize antigens differently from alpha-beta T cells. These receptors play roles in immune regulation, antitumor activity, and epithelial immune defense. Alterations in TCR recognition are associated with autoimmune diseases and tumor immunity. Gamma-delta T cells are primarily found in epithelial tissues and show limited TCR diversity compared to alpha-beta T cells.
