Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

KMT2A is a histone methyltransferase essential for early development and hematopoiesis. It functions as a catalytic subunit of the MLL1/MLL complex, mediating methylation of Lys-4 of histone H3 (H3K4me) and acetylation of Lys-16 of histone H4 (H4K16ac).
KMT2A specifically mediates H3K4me, a marker for epigenetic transcriptional activation. It has weak activity alone but requires other MLL1/MLL complex components for full activity. It shows no activity toward histone H3 phosphorylated on Thr-3, reduced activity toward H3 dimethylated on Arg-8 or Lys-9, and higher activity toward H3 acetylated on Lys-9.
KMT2A is required for transcriptional activation of HOXA9 and promotes PPP1R15A-induced apoptosis.
