Product Specific Information

The RMP1-30 antibody reacts with mouse PD-1 (programmed death-1), a 55 kDa member of the Ig superfamily. PD-1 contains the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) and plays a key role in peripheral tolerance and autoimmune disease in mice. PD-1 is expressed mainly on activated T and B lymphocytes. PD-L1 (B7-H1) and PD-L2 (B7-DC) are identified as PD-1 ligands, showing overlapping functions and expression patterns.
RMP1-30 does not block the binding of B7-H1-Ig or B7-DC-Ig to PD-1 transfectants.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on stimulated mouse splenocytes at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration recommended.
Excitation: 633–647 nm

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.


Target Information

T-cell activation is controlled by inhibitory receptors such as PD-1 (PDCD-1), which binds ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2 on antigen-presenting cells (APCs). Binding of PD-1 to its ligands suppresses immune activation in the absence of danger signals. PD-1 knockout mice exhibit hyperactive immune responses and autoimmune phenotypes. Despite its predicted molecular weight, PD-1 often migrates at a higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE.
