Description:
The LN3 monoclonal antibody recognizes the human MHC class II molecule HLA-DR. HLA-DR is expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APC) such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells. It plays a key role in peptide presentation to CD4⁺ T lymphocytes.

Applications Reported:
The LN3 antibody is validated for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry on human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.0075 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and 27 kDa beta chain (DRB). The alpha chain gene contains five exons encoding leader peptide, extracellular domains, transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic tail.
DRA is non-polymorphic, while DRB carries polymorphisms defining peptide binding specificity. HLA-DR is expressed mainly on antigen-presenting cells (B cells, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, activated T cells).
MHC class II molecules (DR, DQ, DP) are essential for peptide presentation to T-helper cells and initiation of immune responses.
HLA/MHC antibodies are pivotal in immunopeptidomics for identifying neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
