Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes CD87 (urokinase plasminogen activator receptor), a 36–68 kDa single-chain GPI-anchored extracellular glycoprotein expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and keratinocytes.
Recommended dilution is for 100 µL of whole blood or 1×10⁶ cells in suspension.


Target Information

The urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) is a key molecule in the regulation of cell-surface plasminogen activation and plays an important role in both normal and pathological processes.
The human PLAUR cDNA encodes 335 amino acids including a 22-residue signal peptide and a hydrophobic C-terminal region, producing a highly glycosylated 50 kDa protein anchored to the plasma membrane via a GPI linkage.
PLAUR (uPAR) associates with the carbohydrate-binding domain of SELL on neutrophil membranes, analogous to its interaction with β2 integrins. PLAUR-mediated calcium mobilization is SELL-dependent.
UPAR mRNA levels correlate with the invasive potential of endometrial carcinomas, showing a 33-fold increase in advanced stages compared with normal tissue. Protein expression correlates with recurrence and mortality rates, suggesting UPAR as a prognostic marker for advanced endometrial cancer.
