This antibody recognizes a sialidase-sensitive extracellular epitope of CD45RB, a 180–240 kDa single chain type I membrane glycoprotein variant of CD45 (CD45RB isoform).
CD45RB is expressed on subsets of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and dendritic cells.
Recommended dilution: 100 µL of whole blood or 1×10^6 cells in suspension.

Target Information

CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of surface proteins in lymphocytes.
It is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues. CD45 glycoprotein plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases.
CD45 exists as multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
CD45RA is one isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes.
CD45 isoforms vary in membrane domain translocation and expression depending on cell type and physiological state.
It regulates T- and B-cell receptor signaling, suppresses JAK kinases for cytokine receptor control, and promotes cell survival through integrin signaling and apoptosis modulation.
