Hamster anti-Mouse CD29 antibody, clone HM beta 1-1 recognizes the murine integrin beta 1 subunit (CD29), an approximately 110 kDa cell surface glycoprotein widely expressed by various cells including all leukocytes.
Target Information
ITGB1 (Integrin Subunit Beta 1, beta1 integrin subunit, GPIIa, CD29) is a 110 kDa cell surface glycoprotein expressed by diverse cell types including leukocytes.
It forms non-covalently linked heterodimers with multiple alpha chains (α1–α6, CDa–f), determining the binding properties of beta1 (VLA) integrins.
ITGB1 functions as a cell adhesion molecule on platelets and mediates interactions with extracellular matrix proteins.
Reduced ITGB1 expression is associated with multidrug resistance in tumor cells.
It plays a critical role in immune cell trafficking, tissue damage regulation, and inflammatory responses such as those in inflammatory bowel disease.
Fibronectin and type I collagen can enhance cytokine secretion via ITGB1-dependent mechanisms.
Two major isoforms, beta1A and beta1D, differ by 13 amino acids and exhibit tissue-specific distribution patterns.
