Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

STK3 (MST2) is a STE kinase family member that acts upstream of the MAP kinase signaling pathways. It is activated by proapoptotic stimuli such as staurosporine and FAS ligand.
STK3 functions as a stress-activated, pro-apoptotic kinase that, upon caspase cleavage, translocates to the nucleus to induce chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation.
It is a key component of the Hippo signaling pathway, which regulates organ size and tumor suppression by limiting proliferation and promoting apoptosis.
The pathway involves a kinase cascade in which STK3/MST2 and STK4/MST1, together with SAV1, activate LATS1/2 and MOB1, leading to phosphorylation and inhibition of YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ.
Phosphorylation of YAP1 prevents its nuclear translocation, thereby regulating genes related to cell proliferation, apoptosis, and migration.
STK3/MST2 and STK4/MST1 are essential for repressing hepatocyte proliferation, preventing activation of liver stem cells, and inhibiting tumor formation.
