Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

G protein-coupled receptor GPR49 (LGR5) is expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, placenta, and spinal cord.
ESTs have been isolated from normal human brain (amygdala), embryo, and placenta libraries, as well as germ cell, uterus, and brain libraries.

GPCRs represent one of the largest families of signaling molecules, with over a thousand predicted members.
They share a common structure of seven transmembrane helices and exist in active and inactive forms.
Activation by ligands leads to signaling via G-proteins and downstream effectors.
Negative regulation of GPCR activity plays a crucial role in cellular physiology and continues to inform pharmacological research for new drug candidates.
Notable GPCR-targeted drugs include Zyprexa (Eli Lilly) and Claritin (Schering-Plough).

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
