Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

G protein-coupled receptor GPR49 (LGR5) is expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, placenta, and spinal cord. ESTs have been isolated from normal human brain (amygdala), embryo, and placenta libraries, as well as from human germ cell, uterus, and brain libraries.
GPCRs represent one of the largest families of signaling molecules, sharing a structural motif of seven membrane-spanning helices and existing in both active and inactive forms. Ligand binding induces conformational changes leading to G-protein signaling and downstream effects.
Negative regulation mechanisms of GPCRs play crucial roles in cellular physiology and have driven the development of major GPCR-targeted pharmaceuticals such as Zyprexa and Claritin.
