Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

G protein-coupled receptor GPR49 (LGR5) is expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, placenta, and spinal cord. ESTs have been isolated from normal human brain (amygdala), embryo, and placenta libraries, as well as germ cell, uterus, and brain libraries.
GPCRs represent one of the largest families of signaling molecules, all sharing seven membrane-spanning helices and existing in active/inactive forms. Ligand binding induces conformational changes leading to G-protein signaling and downstream effects.
Regulation of GPCR activity is critical for cellular physiology and pharmacological research, with GPCR-targeted drugs such as Zyprexa and Claritin demonstrating significant therapeutic impact.
