Target Information
ELL3는 배아줄기세포(ES cells)에서 enhancer에 결합하여 향후 활성화에 필요한 표지를 부여하는 elongation factor입니다. 활성, 준비 또는 비활성 상태의 enhancer 영역에 결합하며, cohesin 의존적 RNA polymerase II 점유를 조절합니다. 세포분화 과정에서 super elongation complex(SEC) 및 P-TEFb의 모집에 필수적이며, germ cell 단계에서 enhancer를 미리 표지하여 유전자 활성화를 준비합니다. 또한 epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)을 촉진합니다. SEC와 LEC 복합체의 구성 요소로, RNA polymerase II의 일시적 정지를 억제하여 전사 효율을 증가시키고, snRNA 유전자 전사를 조절합니다. (PubMed:22195968)
