Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information
Dysferlin is the protein product of the 2p13 gene, defective in patients with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2B (LGMD2B) and Miyoshi Myopathy (MM).
It is normally localized to the muscle plasma membrane. In LGMD2B and MM patients, dysferlin immunoreactivity is severely reduced or lost, depending on mutation type.
This antibody aids in characterization of LGMD2B and MM.
