Target Information
CD99 (E2, MIC2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in regulation of T cell adhesive properties and programmed cell death distinct from typical apoptosis.
CD99 roles are specific to certain stages of T cell differentiation such as corticothymocytes.
CD99R isoform expression is restricted in the hematopoietic system to T, NK, and myeloid cells.
