Product Specific Information
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Human B cells antibody, clone FMC7 recognizes a glycoprotein antigen of approximately 105 kDa expressed by B lymphocytes.
Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa depending on phosphorylation) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, some T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells.
It regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation.
CD20 associates with lipid rafts and colocalizes with BCR upon receptor ligation but remains at the surface post-endocytosis.
Due to high expression on B-cell malignancies and resistance to internalization, CD20 is an effective target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
