Target Information
Catenin alpha-1은 다양한 cadherin의 세포질 도메인과 결합하며, cadherin과 catenin의 결합은 actin filament network와 연결된 복합체를 형성하여 세포 접착에 중요한 역할을 합니다. E- 및 N-cadherin 모두와 결합할 수 있으며, actin cytoskeleton과의 연결을 매개하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한, homodimer 형태는 actin filament의 조립을 조절하고, Arp2/3 complex와의 경쟁을 통해 actin branching을 억제할 수 있습니다. 세포 분화 과정에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
