Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

L1CAM (CD171) is an axonal glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It contains multiple immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains, connected via a transmembrane sequence to a conserved cytoplasmic domain.
This molecule is essential for nervous system development, mediating neuronal migration and differentiation.
Mutations in L1CAM are associated with X-linked neurological disorders collectively known as CRASH syndrome (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, and hydrocephalus).
Alternative splicing of neuron-specific exons may have functional significance.
