The MQ2-13A5 antibody reacts with human interleukin-6 (IL-6), a 21–28 kDa cytokine secreted by various cell types.

• Applications Reported: Suitable for intracellular flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for intracellular flow cytometric analysis of stimulated human peripheral blood cells.
  • Recommended test size: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test
  • A test is defined as the amount of antibody required to stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL.

Target Information

IL-6 encodes a cytokine involved in inflammation and B-cell maturation. The encoded protein acts as an endogenous pyrogen, inducing fever in autoimmune or infectious conditions. IL-6 is expressed at sites of acute and chronic inflammation and triggers inflammatory transcriptional responses via interleukin 6 receptor alpha.
