Product Specific Information
This hamster IgG fraction was purified by affinity chromatography from normal Golden Syrian hamster serum.
Reported Applications: Golden Syrian hamster IgG isotype control has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Tested Applications: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspension; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Isotype control antibodies are used to distinguish non-specific background staining from specific antibody signal.
They help identify background noise caused by Fc receptor binding, non-specific cellular interactions, or autofluorescence.
Isotype controls should match the primary antibody species and isotype, and when using directly labeled antibodies, the same conjugate label should be used.
Commonly used in flow cytometry, but also applicable in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
