Product Specific Information
The eBio500A2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the 25 kD epsilon subunit of the mouse CD3 complex. CD3 subunits (γ, δ, ε) are essential for assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and mature T cells, including NKT cells. Binding of eBio500A2 to CD3 initiates intracellular signaling, leading to cellular activation and proliferation.
This antibody has been tested for flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and can be used at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration is recommended.

Target Information
The CD3 complex transduces antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. It consists of CD3γ, CD3δ, CD3ε, and CD3ζ subunits, encoded by closely linked genes on chromosome 11. These subunits contain cytoplasmic tails with tyrosine-based motifs for signal transduction.
CD3 is expressed on:
- 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes
- 65–85% of thymocytes
- Purkinje cells in the cerebellum
Not expressed on B or NK cells.
Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency and may be linked to autoimmune diseases.
