- In Western blot with 100 ng recombinant Positope™ control protein, a detectable signal was observed within 15 minutes using a chromogenic substrate.
- The Positope™ control protein (53 kDa) contains seven epitope tags, including His(C-term), HisG, c-Myc, and V5.
- For Western blot, dilute AP-conjugated antibody in Tris-Buffered Saline (TBS) containing 0.1% Tween-20 and 1% nonfat dry milk.
- No cross-reactivity observed in bacterial lysates.
Target Information
Myc is a proto-oncogene encoding a nuclear phosphoprotein involved in cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and cellular transformation.
It forms a heterodimer with transcription factor MAX to bind E-box DNA sequences and regulate gene transcription.
Gene amplification is frequently observed in human cancers, and translocations are linked to Burkitt lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
Translation may initiate from both a non-AUG (CUG) and AUG site, producing two isoforms with distinct N-termini.
