  • Tested in IF using CHO cells expressing recombinant epitope-tagged fusion proteins.
  • For IF, dilute in PBS containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS).
  • Sufficient for 25 immunostaining reactions (1 mL working solution per reaction).
  • Tested against purified Positope™ control protein (53 kDa recombinant protein containing seven epitope tags, including His(C-term), HisG, c-Myc, and V5).

Target Information

Myc is a proto-oncogene encoding a nuclear phosphoprotein involved in cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and cellular transformation. It forms a heterodimer with MAX, binding to the E-box DNA consensus sequence to regulate transcription of target genes.
Amplification of Myc is common in human cancers, and translocations are associated with Burkitt lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Translation initiates from both an upstream non-AUG (CUG) and a downstream AUG start site, producing two isoforms with distinct N-termini.
