Target Information
Myc는 세포주기 진행, 세포사멸, 세포 변형에 관여하는 핵 인산단백질을 암호화하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. 이 단백질은 전사인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E-box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 표적 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다.
이 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 인체 암에서 빈번히 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종 및 다발성 골수종과 관련된 전위(translocation)가 보고되어 있습니다.
비번역 개시코돈(CUG)과 번역 개시코돈(AUG)에서 각각 번역이 시작되어 N-말단이 다른 두 가지 이소폼이 생성됩니다.
