Target Information
DAPK2 is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase that acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis and is expressed in many tissue types. It belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and contains an N-terminal protein kinase domain followed by a conserved calmodulin-binding domain similar to DAPK1, a positive regulator of programmed cell death. Overexpression induces apoptosis and uses multiple polyadenylation sites.
