Target Information
AGR2 (anterior gradient protein 2) and AGR3 are members of the anterior gradient homolog family. They are secreted cytoplasmic proteins involved in metastasis induction and p53 tumor suppressor inhibition. AGR2 may serve as a molecular marker and potential therapeutic target for hormone-responsive breast tumors. AGR2 is ubiquitously expressed with upregulated expression in prostate, breast, lung, renal, and endometrial carcinomas. AGR2 expression is positively correlated with the estrogen receptor (ER) and negatively correlated with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
