For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The F13A1 gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII A subunit, the final zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade.
Plasma factor XIII is a heterotetramer of two A and two B subunits. The A subunits are catalytic, while the B subunits act as carrier molecules.
Platelet factor XIII consists of two A subunits identical to plasma A subunits. Upon thrombin cleavage and in the presence of calcium ions, factor XIII becomes active (factor XIIIa), catalyzing crosslinking between fibrin molecules to stabilize the clot.
Deficiency of factor XIII can lead to bleeding disorders, impaired wound healing, and recurrent miscarriages.
