• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human LD78beta (CCL3L1). Anti-Human LD78beta (CCL3L1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Sandwich ELISA:
  To detect Human LD78beta by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL is required.
  This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human LD78beta (500-P187G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human LD78beta.

• Western Blot:
  To detect Human LD78beta by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
  When used with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Human LD78beta is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

The protein encoded by this gene binds chemokine receptors such as CCR5, which serves as an HIV co-receptor. Binding of CCL3L1 to CCR5 inhibits HIV entry.
Copy number variations of this gene differ among individuals (typically 1–6 copies), with some having zero or more than six copies. Reports vary regarding its disease correlation.
This record represents one of two copies present on the ALT_REF_LOCI_2 alternate haplotype of the GRCh38 human reference genome assembly.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
