Product Specific Information

The eBio22D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse SIGNR1 (CD209b), a type II transmembrane C-type lectin identified as a mouse homologue of human DC-SIGN. It is highly expressed in splenic marginal zone macrophages and lymph node medullary macrophages, where it mediates uptake of dextran polysaccharides, including the capsular polysaccharide of Streptococcus pneumoniae. SIGNR1 associates with TLR4/MD2, suggesting a role in LPS recognition, and binds complement component C1q to form a non-conventional C3 convertase. SIGNR1-deficient mice show defects in C3 catabolism. The eBio22D1 antibody does not cross-react with SIGNR2, SIGNR3, or SIGNR4.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Validated on mouse splenocytes at ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information
