Antibody detects endogenous levels of FGFR1/2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr730/733.
Target Information
FGFR1 belongs to the fibroblast growth factor receptor family, characterized by high conservation among members and across evolution. FGFR family members differ in ligand affinities and tissue distribution. The full-length protein includes:
- Extracellular region with three immunoglobulin-like domains
- Single hydrophobic membrane-spanning segment
- Cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain
The extracellular portion binds fibroblast growth factors, initiating downstream signaling cascades that regulate mitogenesis and differentiation. FGFR1 interacts with both acidic and basic fibroblast growth factors and plays a role in limb induction.
