This antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHB1, EPHB3, and EPHB4 only when phosphorylated at Tyr778, Tyr792, or Tyr774.

Ephrin receptors and their ligands (ephrins) mediate numerous developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system.
Ephrins are divided into two classes:
- Ephrin-A (EFNA): Anchored to the membrane via glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage
- Ephrin-B (EFNB): Transmembrane proteins
Eph receptors are the largest subgroup of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family and are classified into two groups based on extracellular domain similarity and ligand affinity. EphB4 binds to ephrin-B2 and plays an essential role in vascular development.
