Target Information
GABBR2는 G-protein coupled receptor 3 패밀리 및 GABA-B receptor 서브패밀리에 속하는 다중 통과 막 단백질입니다. GABA-B 수용체는 G 단백질 결합 세컨드 메신저 시스템을 통해 신경 활동을 억제하며, 이는 신경전달물질 방출, 이온 채널, 아데닐릴 사이클라아제의 활성을 조절합니다. GABBR2는 GABA-B receptor subunit 1과 이합체를 형성해야 활성 복합체로 기능하며, 각각 단독으로는 활성 형태가 아닙니다. 또한 이 유전자의 대립유전자는 니코틴 의존성과 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
