This antibody detects endogenous levels of IGF1 Receptor only when phosphorylated at Thr1163.
Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor, also known as CD221) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by IGF-1 and IGF-2. It plays a critical role in cell growth, survival, and transformation, and is implicated in various cancers. The receptor consists of two alpha and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits bind IGF-1 with higher affinity than IGF-2, leading to receptor autophosphorylation at residues 1134, 1135, and 1136. This activation triggers downstream signaling pathways including RAS, RAF, and MAPK (ERK, p38, JNK), resulting in gene transcription promoting proliferation.
