Product Specific Information
Description:
The 104 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD45 molecule, the leukocyte common antigen (LCA) in CD45.2-expressing mouse strains. These include C57BL/6, BALB/c, C58, DBA/1, DBA/2, C3H/He, CBA, 129, A, and AKR. CD45.2 is expressed by all leukocytes in these strains.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate for optimal performance.
Excitation/Emission:
488–561 nm excitation; 578 nm emission.
Compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD45.2 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising ~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It plays a key role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling through regulation of Src-family kinases.
Multiple isoforms arise from alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. These isoforms vary in membrane localization and expression depending on cell type and physiological state.
CD45.2 also promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signaling and is involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. CD45RA is an isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes.
