Product Specific Information
Recombinant Human DKK-3 expressed in CHO cells is a glycoprotein with a calculated molecular weight of 36.3 kDa and 329 amino acid residues. Due to glycosylation, Human DKK-3 migrates at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 39–49 kDa by SDS-PAGE analysis under non-reducing conditions.

Target Information
DKK3, like DKK1, DKK2, and DKK4, has an N-terminal signal peptide and two conserved cysteine-rich domains separated by a linker region containing 10 cysteine residues each. The second cysteine region may have a lipid-binding function facilitating WNT/DKK interactions at the plasma membrane.
The linker region contains 50–55 amino acids in DKK1, DKK2, and DKK4, but only 12 amino acids in DKK3. All DKKs have potential cleavage sites for furin-type proteases.
DKK3 transcript shows high expression in heart, brain, and spinal cord (Northern blot analysis). In situ hybridization reveals strong expression in mouse brain, eye, and heart.
