Product Specific Information

The eBio13G3-19D monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly108, the mouse homologue of human SLAMF6 (signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 6).
Mouse Ly108 (also known as NTB-A) is expressed on NK, T, and B cells. Engagement of the Ly108 receptor enhances NK cell activity and IFN-γ expression, and contributes to the inability of NK cells to kill Epstein Barr virus-infected B cells in X-linked lymphoproliferative disease.
CD4+ T cells from Ly108 knock-out mice exhibit diminished IL-4 production and defective neutrophil functions.

Staining has not revealed strain differences between C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice. Other strains have not been tested.

Each product contains:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes and thymocytes (≤ 0.8 µg/test, 100 µL final volume).
Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
Careful titration recommended for optimal performance.

NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains with NovaFluor dyes.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails/master mixes before combining with cells.
For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology with engineered fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
