- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45624 detects Versican in 20 µg of mouse brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP.
- Detects >350 kDa protein.

Target Information
Versican is a large aggregating proteoglycan found in various tissues including cartilage, nervous tissue, and connective tissues. It promotes cell proliferation, transformation, and protection from apoptosis by downregulating proapoptotic Bad. Versican’s role in extracellular matrix composition is linked to inflammatory processes in human airways, particularly in asthmatics.
