- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45625 detects Versican in 20 µg of mouse brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects >350 kDa.

Target Information
Versican is a large aggregating proteoglycan found in various tissues such as cartilage, nervous, epidermal, arterial, and connective tissues. Versican V1 enhances cell proliferation, induces cell transformation, and protects cells from apoptosis by downregulating proapoptotic Bad expression. It also plays an inflammatory role in human airways, relevant to asthma studies.
