Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Store reagent in the dark and handle under subdued lighting.
Anti-AKT2 antibody detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms of AKT2. Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat is expected due to high sequence identity (mouse 88%, rat 90%).
Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues. It plays a key role in cellular signaling pathways related to growth factor receptors and PI3-kinase activation. AKT2 amplification and overexpression are observed in certain human cancers.
