Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- Restore with deionized water (or equivalent).
- Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Do not freeze after reconstitution.
- Store reagent in the dark and use subdued lighting during handling and incubation.
Anti-AKT2 antibody is directed against human AKT2 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms of the protein. Cross-reactivity with other species has not been determined, but sequence similarity suggests possible reactivity with mouse (88%) and rat (90%) AKT2.
Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues. It plays a key role in metabolic signaling pathways and acts as a transducer for functions initiated by growth factor receptors that activate PI3 kinase. AKT2 is known to be amplified and overexpressed in certain human cancers.
