Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adenylate kinase is an enzyme that regulates adenine nucleotide composition within cells by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate groups among adenine nucleotides.
Three isozymes—AK1, AK2, and AK3—have been identified in vertebrates:
- AK1: Found in cytosol of skeletal muscle, brain, and erythrocytes
- AK2 / AK3: Found in mitochondria of tissues such as liver and heart
AK1 mutations are associated with nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia due to reduced catalytic activity.
