Target Information

Zinc finger protein SNAI1 (SNAIL)은 아연 결합 전사 억제인자로, 중배엽 및 신경능선 형성 과정에서 외배엽 유전자의 발현을 억제합니다.
SNAI1은 E-cadherin 발현 억제 및 epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) 유도에 관여하며, 종양 침윤 및 전이에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
유방암 등 다양한 종양에서 SNAI1 또는 SNAI2 (Slug)의 발현은 E-cadherin 억제, 전이, 재발, 불량한 예후와 관련이 있습니다.
또한, 결장암 조직 내 stromal Snail 1 단백질은 새로운 예후 인자로 제시되고 있습니다.
