Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65 (RelA) belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF-α binding to its receptor, IKK is phosphorylated, leading to IκB phosphorylation and degradation, thereby activating NF-kB. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
