Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) is essential for DNA replication and plays a role in DNA excision and mismatch repair pathways. It interacts with CDK inhibitor p21, endonucleases Fen1 and XPG, and DNA cytosine 5-methyltransferase (MCMT).
PCNA serves as a marker for proliferating cells and tumor prognosis, being expressed in the nucleus during G1 and S phases. It acts as a cofactor of DNA polymerase delta, forming a homotrimer to enhance leading strand synthesis. Upon DNA damage, PCNA is ubiquitinated and participates in RAD6-dependent repair pathways.
Two transcript variants encoding the same protein exist, and pseudogenes are found on chromosome 4 and the X chromosome.
