Target Information
Activins은 TGF-β(Transforming Growth Factor-beta) 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 이합체 성장 및 분화 인자입니다. Activins는 두 종류의 type I (I, IB) 수용체와 두 종류의 type II (II, IIB) 수용체로 구성된 이형 복합체를 통해 신호를 전달합니다.
이 수용체들은 리간드 결합 도메인, 트랜스멤브레인 도메인, 세린/트레오닌 특이성을 가진 세포질 도메인으로 구성된 막 단백질입니다.
Type I 수용체는 신호전달에 필수적이며, Type II 수용체는 리간드 결합 및 Type I 수용체 발현에 필요합니다.
리간드 결합 후 Type I과 Type II 수용체는 안정적인 복합체를 형성하고, Type II 수용체가 Type I 수용체를 인산화시킵니다.
Activin A의 돌연변이는 섬유이골화 진행성(Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva)과 관련이 있습니다.
